The news has been heavy this past week or so, but I was able to get a little bit of a distraction this weekend when I ventured to a very cool area upstate, with my girlfriend and another couple. We stayed at a hotel about five minutes from Hunter Mountain called Hotel Lilien, in Tannersville, New York. If you’re looking for a nice place to relax in the Catskills, I’d highly recommend this hotel. Here’s a link to their website: https://www.hotellilien.com/

There were two very nice and very nicely furnished lounge areas to relax in.
The hotel was restored really nicely. Downstairs, there was a bar, and two different lounge areas, both incredibly peaceful. In one of the lounges, there was a small furnace that I enjoyed reading near and also having breakfast. Our room was spacious too, and had a great view of the mountains.
The restaurants in this area of the Catskills that we ate at had sort of a Brooklyn-y vibe. Sort of fancy, maybe a little hip, but I still felt like I was world’s away from the city. It was a great weekend.
That’s it for my blog post. I’m hoping the news can improve in the coming weeks, or hopefully days. The real estate market, especially for rentals, has slowed recently, which is the norm this time of year.
